Will Fisher Sign Thursday?

(CBS) LOS ANGELES If the Lakers are going to sign Derek Fisher, Thursday may be the day.

Fisher is scheduled to clear waivers Thursday at 3 p.m.

If no team puts in a waiver claim, the Lakers can officially sign him shorty after 3 p.m.

It’s very unlikely another team will claim him off waivers , with 3 years and 21 million left on his contract by the Utah Jazz.

The Lakers and Fisher have agreed in principle, to a three-year contract worth about $14 million.
