Kobe Bryant Fans!

Kobe Bryant will not be a Chicago Bull. At least according to Chicago Bulls GM John Paxson:

After days of rampant speculation that the Lakers were set to ship their star player to Chicago, Bulls GM John Paxson put to rest those rumors on Thursday.”There’s not a deal to be done,” Paxson was quoted as saying in The Chicago Tribune after Thursday’s practice.

Paxson acknowledged to the newspaper that he had several conversations with the Lakers about the possibility of acquiring Bryant, but none of those discussions proved fruitful.

Paxson said he decided to come out and say something so that his players could get back to basketball.

“Today sends a message that our guys don’t have to worry about anything anymore,” he said.
